[VIDEO] Attention System at Dragon*Con

 

Local electro-rockers Attention System played a late night set at this past weekend’s Dragon*Con, and local photographer Todd Crow put together this video documenting both their performance and the costumed masses that descended on downtown Atlanta’s hotels.  It acts as a nice slideshow for those of us who didn’t spring for passes this year.  The images are paired with one of the band’s new songs.

Winter Soulstice: A Benefit for WonderRoot is this Saturday at Smith’s Olde Bar

The 4th anuual Winter Soulstice music and arts festival is going down this weekend, and it serves (as it has in the past) as a benefit for WonderRoot.  The funds raised by this event are specifically used to support their program to supplement music and arts education in Atlanta public schools that have cut back on those programs due to a lack of funding.  Good cause, right?  In addition to that lineup listed above, there will be acoustic performances going on in the smaller, downstairs Atlanta Room, plus a silent auction where you can bid on art or pick up some raffle tickets.

Music Reviews, Week of 6/2/2010 (part 2)
