Save Criminal Records

Maybe it shouldn’t be surprising that a brick and mortar record store has fallen on hard times, but I was honestly shocked to hear that Criminal Records is planning to close its doors in November.  It seemed somehow immune from the problems that have plagued record stores since the rise of the MP3.  The store’s frequent events for music and comic book fanatics made it seem like a thriving exception, but apparently the bodies those events draw to the store don’t translate into sales.

There’s a Save Criminal Records campaign going on, but it’s going to be tough – the store needs to raise $150,000 to pay back its debts.  That’s a lot of records, so use this as an excuse to break the bank and pick up a bunch of vinyl in the name of a good cause.
